The violent crime rate was down 7% in Detroit last year with the murder rate being down 14%. (including 15 justifiable homicides) Still very high but its a move in the right direction.

It should be interesting to watch what happens to NY vs Detroit over the next few years with NY electing a full on marxist as Detroit begins shaking off some of Chairman Young's failed policies of the past.
