There's copying someone and there's using someone's signature line as a tribute. Levin uses Bob Grant's signature dismissal line as a tribute. Hannity, who replaced Grant on WABC, does the same with, "Straight ahead," to go into breaks.
The Great One is what Hannity calls Levin and the name stuck so he uses the Gleason music.
Meanwhile, Levin is out there night after night pounding the other side with original thinking and tremendous knowledge.

Been listening to him for years and I have NEVER heard him mention that he was giving tribute to Bob Grant by using those signature phrases.

If he knows it was Gleason's name, why doesn't he disavow it because Gleason "owns" it?
As I said to another poster, Levin has a big mouth, but no balz.
