Never knew that P.Travers adopted one twin but not his twin brother on advice from an astrologist and kept that fact secret from the adopted twin.

I never read any of Travers’ books, so am wondering what kind of “Mary Poppins” did Travers want represented on the screen. What was Mary Poppins like in her books?

by the end of the movie she really really really hated disney. She wanted more of the dark side of poppins.

for the play she contractually excluded any new songs from the sherman brothers.

I think Walt Disney saved her books.
