seems the world media is as scummy as America’s criminal liberal media:

Journalist dressed as priest tried to access Schumacher’s room

A journalist attempted to gain access to Michael Schumacher’s hospital room by dressing up as a priest, according to reports in Germany.

Schumacher is being treated at a hospital in Grenoble after falling and hitting his head on a rock while skiing at the French resort of Meribel. Media from around the world are at the hospital and Schumacher’s manager, Sabine Kehm, said one journalist attempted to gain access to the seven-time champion’s room.

“Apparently a journalist dressed as a priest had tried to gain access to Michael’s room,” Kehm told Die Welt. “I wouldn’t have ever imagined something like this could happen.”

The journalist and publication were not named.

In Tuesday’s press conference Gerard Saillant, one of the leading neurologists in Paris and a friend of Schumacher, asked the media to respect the need for the doctors to carry out their work without intrusion.

“I would like to ask you, in the name of Corinna, his wife, and all his family, not put pressure on the medical team, on the family and on us,” Saillant said. “They have work to do and I think the situation has to be the same as for everyone else. That is how you will be able to help Michael and how you will be able to help him win the this fight, which is a difficult one that has not been won yet.

“We are slightly less worried than we were yesterday, but you have to understand that this evening or tomorrow the situation can be reversed and therefore you have to allow the medical team to work. We will have another press conference if there is some news, if there is no news then don’t believe it is because we want to hide something, it is very simply because we are carrying out our daily work. I would like to thank you [the media] for the help that you can give us.”

well, slightly good news to start the year:

Michael Schumacher remains stable in French hospital

GRENOBLE, France -- Retired Formula One champion Michael Schumacher's condition was stable overnight, but the brain injury he suffered during a skiing accident in the French Alps is still critical, his manager said Wednesday.

Sabine Kehm told reporters that his condition has not changed since doctors said he showed small signs of improvement on Tuesday.

Schumacher, who turns 45 on Friday, suffered critical head injuries when he fell and struck a rock while skiing. He has since undergone two brain operations and remains in a medically induced coma.

"The good news for today is ... there's no significant changes," Kehm told reporters gathered outside the Grenoble hospital where he is being treated.

"However, it is still very early, and the situation overall is critical," she added.

Doctors have refused to give a prognosis for Schumacher, saying they are focused on his immediate care. They are trying to reduce swelling in his brain by keeping him in a coma and lowering his body temperature to between 93.2 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

Kehm said Schumacher was surrounded by his family and that there is always somebody with him.

Schumacher is the most successful F1 driver in history, racking up a record 91 race wins. He retired from Formula One last year after garnering an unmatched seven world titles.

His accident has drawn immense media attention, and Kehm confirmed Wednesday that earlier in the week security at the hospital stopped a journalist who was posing as a priest from approaching Schumacher.

Schumi, as his fans affectionately call him, was famously aggressive on the track and no less intense off-hours. In retirement, he remained an avid skier, skydiver and horseback rider.
