Twenty years ago, when I was in the Navy, I was stationed in Europe. There was a story in Stars and Stripes about this soldier who suspected his pregnant wife of having an affair. So he followed the guy he suspected and found him talking to his wife over the phone in a phone booth outside a diner.

The soldier's wife was in the hospital with complications from the pregnancy when in walks her angry husband with a big paperbag in his hand. He opens the bag and plops down the guy's bloody head on the wife's hospital bed. She screams and the soldier is arrested. It turns out he cut the guy's head off while he was in the phone booth and in full view of all the diners in the restaurant. The wife heard some struggling and screaming over the phone and couldn't figure out what was going on. And that's my headless victim story for the night.
