... only to have her fiancé call off the wedding.
I think you need a new pastor.
Most European kings had court astrologers well into the Renaissance. Astrology was “science”, not in conflict with religion, but supplementing it. There are Christians today who believe in Global Warming, another faith based system.
Satanic souls.
I believe the Evil Pelosi referred to abortion as “sacred” - these are sick people clear & simple.
Back in the 1970’s or ‘80s, as I recall, National Geographic had a fantastic show about the development of the human infant from conception to full term. I believe it was a team of Swedish doctors who filmed through a laparascope into the womb. I would show this video to every young person in middle school and that should dispel the lies told by the Eugenicists and so-called Pastors.
But even armed with the facts, the morals/world view of some people will never allow them to care a rat’s patoot about murdering their own child.
Nope, he’ll marry her and then be surprised when she stabs HIM in the back. And he’ll put down all women, never minding his own poor choices.
I KNOW, right!?! I can’t tolerate the “tolerant” left myself. Won’t even date a guy who is liberal. If he’s that stupid, who wants him anyway?!
In Japan, I hear the women have a place to go to grieve their aborted babies. Here it is just bio-waste.
When women who use abortion for birth control actually do want to have a child, many have great difficulties getting pregnant. And the closer we get to Brave New World with manufactured babies for better “quality control.”
When abortion clinics shut down, do pregnancy rates go up? Or does celibacy increase? I have read that it is the latter.
I really wish I had been successful in posting the piece about the couple whose abortion was mentioned in their NYT wedding announcement. I tried but its really hard to post things here. They want keywords and categories and every keyword and category I came up with, they rejected.
I would say that she failed on at least part of that.
Japan also has the common sense to ban them after five months of gestation unless medically necessary to save the life of the mother.
They also have a class from elementary school on called dotoku (morals) which includes even Bible stories like the Good Samaritan.
I kid you not. All three of our kids attended public school in Japan, a non-Christian country, which reads Bible passages and sings traditional as well as secular Christmas carols in public schools.
I believe you totally. The missionaries hit there after WW2, and it is as you say.
Just so you don’t think I’m imagining or making up the wedding announcement story, it was in the news around Labor Day 2013. The guy is a prof. athlete with the Miami Heat. According to my Google hits, Billy Hallowell at the Blaze covered it. And if course it’s in my Twitter feed. Billy Hallowell, like me noted that the couple had had 2 little kids that they didnt abort before getting married and that the guy (forget his name) was supporting a little boy he’d begotten in high school. Just for some reason, they felt that the timing of this pregnancy was wrong. Much was made of his supportiveness, implying that this strengthened their relationship, etc. Whatever.
I suppose at least you have to give credit for not being hypocritical. You know darn well that a lot of brides have had abortions, sometimes because of pressure from a mother who’s afraid of what people will think, or because pregnancy will bollix up elaborate wedding plans. At least these people are open about it.
Incidentally, a tip for girls: Being supportive during an abortion isn’t neccessarily a sign of good character in a guy. I’m more interested in how he behaves when the girl decides to keep the pregnancy, even if he wanted an abortion.
Faith Reid and Udonis Haslem. Wonder how married life is treating them?
With all that publicity, excited liberal people in Los Angeles will probably flood her with anonymous wedding gifts.
Yup.
The Left feverishly lectures the Right about acceptance but it has no problem killing humans that get in its way — narcissism to the extreme.
Hell, it was even more homogenous after the civil war.
I’ll raise you on that one.
There are these Fundie churches that stress how a woman should “obey” her husband, this includes having an abortion if he deems it necessary. I actually read a story of this. Not only did the church deacon and his wife tell the woman to “obey” her husband and have the abortion but they drove her to the clinic and dropped her off down at the end of the street. Of course Mr. and Mrs. Deacon were not willing to take the woman into the clinic and sit with her in order to help her “obey” her husband, as was her spineless husband who by the way divorced her some time later. What a surprise. NOT!
Here’s the book I read it in if anyone’s interested.
