Oh, I don’t know. Michelle knows that once Barry boy is out of the White House she’s going to lose a lot of the perks and privs she has grown quite accustomed to, and may be thinking of ways to strike out on her own.
But I don’t think it will be political when she does. I think she has been cultivating connections in Hollywood for a reason, and may see herself as the next Oprah, or something like that. Certainly, she’ll sell a book or several, go on the lecture circuit, stuff like that. The trashier and juicer her tales are, the more the lowbrow television types will lap it up.
Lots of people, including huge numbers of Leftists, can’t wait to throw the Bamster to the wolves. My reading on Moochelle is that she has no intention of going down with the sinking ship.
I think Obama will be a albatross around her neck, husband or not, if she runs for office. She could only win a seat in the safest of Democrat strongholds.
So far as Oprah, she has been IGNORED and practically banished from the WH. As big of a hand as she had in getting them parked there, you thinnk she would have been a permanent fixture but, the FLOTUS didn’t want her there. Not sure if I am remembering this correctly, but didn’t O hire a designer to redo the Lincoln bedroom, thinking she would be there quite a bit?
Now, when the dust is settling and they are trying to figure out what is next after the term ends, they are trying to line up gigs. Hence, Oprah was given a medal of honor. And, of all things, there is talk they are going to stay in DC. Good Lord, they have NO shame. And obviously no true ‘home’.
