I’m fairly desensitized to the “vulgarization” of film (actually, I’m more offended by stupidity. I don’t mind bawdy or crude, I just loathe stupid). I can tell you there’s going to be very little put out today that you’re going to want to see (especially in the theater). Anything by Scorsese or with an “R” should’ve been a warning (I remember Sen. Alan Simpson mentioning he went to see the cartoonish Scorsese remake of “Cape Fear” over 2 decades ago and he and his wife walked out of the theater). These are not family-friendly films or for the squeamish.
Raises my admiration for Alan Simpson!
Synopsis:A New York stock broker refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case that includes mob infiltration into Wall Street and the corporate banking world.
I expected a "Catch me if you can" type of movie, reinforced by the very mild trailer I'd seen the previous week.
