Bear in mind, the vets organization did not issue specifications, so the quality and extent of the memorials varies greatly and I'm actually not sure they have all been built. For example, Iowa only did theirs in 2008. I've heard of memorials as small as a park bench to a very elaborate memorial in Mississippi, near the shipyards.
