And Page at that time was deep into his heroin addiction.

Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II are my favorites.

I agree. I rate it as the 4th best song on that album, behind Rock & Roll, Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop and When the Levee Breaks.

Zeppelin was one of the greatest rock bands of all time; so many different styles of music.

That was the time of frictions between the two. Plant had the accident. Then lost his son a year or two later. Then his best friend in Bonham. It went downhill quickly.

Like the Beatles, I think Zep broke up at the right time. Wish the Stones and the Who did the same.

If you play Donnie and Marie backwards, you hear Satan. But what’s worse, if you play Donnie and Marie forward, you hear Donnie and Marie.

Jimmy played on a lot of songs, The Who’s “I Can’t Explain” was one of them

I think Stairway to Heaven was among those, when played in reverse, it can be construed to be satanic lyrics.

Nah, can't do it, the country music backward joke.....I miss my dog.

But oth, the song did sing "if you listen very hard"

I don't think they broke up, John Bonham died and well, that was that.

I could easily pick twenty Zepp songs I like better.

I would have to say "In the Evening" is my favorite... training for Ironman last year, I listened to it dozens of times. It just seemed to be perfectly calming, yet exciting... hard to describe, but one of my all-time favorites.

During his sessions days. The Stones’ song is “One Hit to the Body” well after his Zepp fame. I think I have “Shattered” in a 45 somewhere.
