I looked on their site before downloading and didn’t see any reference to that. Would appreciate the link.

I heard that.
I skipped one version of Photoshop...
I had been using CS2...until CS4 had been out for a while.
I had to go through HECK to upgrade to the NEW app at an upgrade price..
the software demanded that I have a serial number for an app I didnt own...mainly CS3
the customer service people at adobe got me home with no sweat...which these days might not be quite as easy.

It depends on whether you are a professional or a tinkerer like me. CS2 is very powerful. I purchased it years ago and have used it extensively as an amateur photographer since then. I still have not found a good reason to pay the price for a newer version. I use it in conjunction with Adobe Lightroom 2 and am quite satisfied. I recommend Scott Kelby’s book on CS2 to learn how to navigate the user interface. It is much quicker than trial and error.

I have Photoshop 7.0, I am assuming CS 2 is a more feature robust version.
There is nothing better than PS for digital editing. Lot’s of tutorials on the web to get you started too.
Go for it!!

very good!.
Ive been using CS4 four at least that many years.
if you do something like leave four or five dozen files open at once...it may slow down....but I doubt that very many people have adopted the sort of sloppy work ethic I have.
I run Photoshop..Bridge.. Illustrator..Dreamweaver..Flash Professional ..Lightroom..and three or four different browsers at once....which sucks up ram likely nobody’s business.

I did a search on “adobe cs2 free” and found a number of articles. Sorry, I’m on my phone and haven’t figured out how to copy and paste a link yet.
