I had cilantro outside one winter. The morning after it got down to 16F it looked really really rough. Perked up a week or so later when we had a warm spell.

Cilantro volunteers here. Left on it's own, it shows up in April/May and bolts a month or two later. And then it shows up the next year.

I have to have cilantro for my salsa, so I force it to keep it around all year long if I can.

I've never seen cilantro survive below about 40F around here.
