PS to my own post, a very good obit from the Life Site news, fair and balanced, I’d say. Good on them for that, because they could have been totally snarky and they weren’t.

I am not a supporter of his smut, but he was a "patron of the arts" and funded the works of underground and "new wave" cartoonists in his paper, often giving them the cover.

Even Hugh Hefner was a failed cartoonist and did the same in his day (including paying for 3 high gloss editions of the suceessor to MAD Magazine, called TRUMP).

ABCDisney and numerous hotel chains are now producers of smut without challenge.
