Yes, they do and for that, I am very grateful.
Funny how they can learn our language but we struggle with theirs.
Have you ever pondered how amazing it is that service dogs can guide their people to places the dog doesn’t even truly understand the point of, or fetch them particular medications or objects out of an infinite number of other abstract things in the world?
It’s just incredible.
Dogs really are amazing. My dogs know quite a few words, and I've found that they are only limited by our expectations.
I suppose even the Disapproving Doberman must approve of this study. :)

“Waait a minute, I thought dogs couldnt see one dimensional images. I call foul. They may react to TV, but they cannot see it. They cannot see pictures either.”
Untrue. My last girlfriend had a chihuahua rat terror mix that would go berserk whenever a dog was on the TV screen. Other animals didn’t provoke a reaction.
If the tv dog traveled from one side of the screen to the side where the house window was, the house dog would follow it then look out the window to see where it went.
The Lord has truly blessed our canine companions.
Anyone who has subscribed to the new channel, “DogTV” will tell you that they see and react to TV *very* well.
My dogs love it.
