“Examination of the engine should be done either way, just for aircraft safety concerns. “
The obvious concern is that the president is eliminating people who could make him look bad. That must be one long list. Frankly, it’s astonishing nobody has come forward so far.
But, buggering an engine leaves too much of a trail. It’s much simpler to make it look like an accident or natural causes. Something low key...an allergic reaction maybe.
Having said that, the NTSB is unlikely to find anything anymore than Hillary Clinton’s blue ribbon Benghazi panel did.
Incidentally, Ron Brown insisted the pilot fly in bad weather. The pilot, under threat of dismissal, filed a protest, but flew anyway. I think Ron Brown was killed by hubris.
Ron Brown was under investigation.
Ron Brown had commented he wasn't going to jail alone.
The circumstances of his death were questionable.
The investigation even more so.
If people live such that making someone look bad requires only that the truth be exposed, eliminating the messenger doesn't make the person good, it only keeps the bodies buried. While that may be expedient for those wielding power, it is often temporary at best, and sustainable as an operational model only so long as most of those who are eliminated remain obscure nobodies or minor officials in the popular press.
Get that plane further off shore, and the water is a lot deeper. Tragic, lost, (overdue), went down with loss of all crew, no wreckage recovered in the deep water, etc. one pip in the papers and done.
