I think so too. I added Vit D3 to my list a year ago and I have not had a cold since. I attribute my good health at 80 to knowing how to take vitamins. Vit.C is primary, and E w/Selenium is needed as anti-oxidant and heart health. D3 has been a happy addition especially in the winter months.
I’m pretty certain that doctors accept the importance of Vit D supplementation and that it has proven health benefits. Also many people are Vit D deficient. A one a day daily recommended dose of Vit D is not enough, so in that sense the article is accurate but it could mislead people not to take vitamins like C and D.
