We are all equally "worthless" in the sense that all of us are sinners.
About fifteen years ago, our church's men had a weekend retreat near Big Bear in SoCal and bumped into Mike while hiking. He was very interested that we were committed Christians, and he requested that we pray for him. We still are--committed, and praying for him.
>>Do not commingle Michael Vick with Michael Tyson, the are entirely separate individuals, flawed but individual! (Dog vs Ear!)<<
Ya takes your jokes where ya’s can.
“We are all equally “worthless””
Uh no we are not. I am not a worthless POS or anything near it. But Mike Tyson is. You just keep praying for him because he isn’t doing anything I have ever seen to improve his chances with God. I don’t have to do anything to save Mike Tyson thats his problem.
Maybe if he stops going on national TV spewing disgusting sexuale inuendos about women like Sarah Palin he will heal and be forgiven by his creator. I don’t know that he has even asked for forgiveness. Not my job.
Your motive for praying is to improve your chances with God. What are your chances without your prayers?
It is because we are intrinsically worthwhile in His sight, because He created us in His image, and because "God is love" (I John 4:8), that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
For what it’s worth, I laughed too.
