Police say the 18-year old who wounded one student, then killed himself at a Colorado high school on December 13th purchased his gun "legally" at "a Denver-area gun store."
According to ABC News, Karl Halverson Pierson walked into Arapahoe High School with a 12-gauge shotgun he bought on December 6th.
This means Pierson underwent a background check for his purchase. This is critical information because gun control proponents keep arguing that expanded background checks will make America safer. However, the expanded checks will be the same checks we have right now; they will simply be applied to all purchases instead of some purchases.
However, Pierson proves again that background checks cannot—and will not—stop an individual intent on committing crime.

These school shootings absolutely drive me crazy!
When, O, when are the idiots in charge going to allow armed guards at schools?? It wouldn’t completely stop it, but even whackjobs might think twice before going to a facility knowing that there is an armed presence on campus.
I sometimes think the gun-control maniacs want more of this stuff to happen just so they have ready made PR for their viewpoint.

They do. Out of sight of the cameras, you can almost see and hear the high fives being slapped. (Hmmm. While sitting here I can hear some one popping off rounds with (what sounds like) an, OMG, AR. Am I concerned? Not in the least. Hope he/she sights it in correctly.)
Why would anyone think the Senate’s gun control law would have stopped this shooting when none of the existing laws against shooting people did. When evildoers don’t follow existing laws, why would they follow new ones?
You can always count on liberals to use any tragedy to advance legislation that does nothing but give more power to the governent.
Liberal teachers whip students into a communist frenzy then complain when they act on those feelings of anger and rage.
This LOSER was also a huge PROPONENT of gun control. Some think he went on his Jihad just to help stir up support for more gun control, as a parting shot at the society he hated.

Has never happened in 2000 years and will not in another 2000 years. Thousands of dead women that had Protection From Abuse Court Orders are proof of that....
So if i can get a "Non-Dangerous Weapons" I can carry one of those to school?
