Losing ones pet is always a sad time. We lost ol’ Harry our last Donkey last night here at the ranch. He died in his sleep. He was about thirty years old. I just finished putting the corrals back together after the truck left with his corpse, and came into the house to fine your sad post.

Thanksgiving day we lost our Red Lab Bailey. He too was quite elderly. He had a stroke last January, and we had been nursing the old boy ever since. He too went in his sleep.

The best thing to do is to get yourself another friend ASAP to keep your mind off your loss. We have three other dogs, and two remaining horses, and twelve cats to keep us occupied, but we will miss ol’ Harry, and good ol’ Bail’s regardless.

Ohmigoodness, that is sad to lose two animals so close together. I had no idea donkeys could live to be that old, to me it’s amazing.

RIP poor creatures.

Sounds like your life has been mad very rich from your animals. Sorry to hear of your own losses; the pain is all too real. But there is solace knowing you’ll see ‘em again.
