I had my best day ever, at Hollywood - turned $40 into $550. Haven’t gone there in years, so I paid a visit, when I heard they were closing. Place looked really run down, just waiting for the wrecking ball.

Los Alamitos was given the OK to expand the track, and pick up some thoroughbred dates. I live in Orange County, so that works for me. Rumor has it that Del Mar will have an expanded meeting, as well.

Only got to go to Hollywood Park one time which was during the 80’s.

As I was returning to my seat after fetching a beer, I spied 3 $100 bills clumped together in the corner of an escalator. I asked at the nearest lost and found if anyone had inquired about missing a certain sum, and was told no.

I promptly bet it all to win on my selection for the next race. The horse lost by a nose at the wire.
