Indeed!
As a woman living alone in a semi-tough neighborhood, I do appreciate the ad, but would tweak it somewhat.
It was a good add in a way to get folks thinking about having a weapon handy at all times. Violent drug whacked out home invaders do not ‘announce’ their intentions in a lot of cases. A firearm in the bedroom nightstand or worse, locked in a safe, if a person is sitting on a couch in the living room ain’t gonna cut it it at the moment of truth. When/if that door, or window, explodes inwards a person had better have their weapon at hand and the training, (and the previously learned legal training and knowledge of ‘when to fire-when not to fire’), to use it. They had also better damn well know the ‘aftermath’ SOP, (911 call procedures as in describing your own physical description, what to say, what not to say, how you say it, requesting ambulance and LEO’s, interactions with responding LEO’s, calling a use of deadly force intelligent attorney for just a few of many things), following the use of deadly force.
