The full-height pictures of Fuddy seem to put her weight well over 200 lbs. Experiencing a crash and the aftermath could easily overstress an older person who may already have medical issues, I would think.
It is not uncommon for older persons to die of heart attack during stressful events that are readily survived by younger folks. As a New Englander I think of all those who die shoveling snow!

Still alive here. I shovel show like a high powered steam shovel. Heck, I like shoveling snow. ...But I do many physical tasks with gusto. :-)
Fuddy never made it out of the plane according to official accounts from the Coast Guard pilot and the Maui Fire Dept.
