FYI..many, many years ago, a now deceased family friend..a baseball fanatic, and a regular visitor to LV...when the Mets were formed..every year he bet $100 on them to win the WS..as a lark.....and yes..he had a ticket on them in 1969..they were 500-1..after they won the NL..he sold the ticket for $15,000, because he couldn't imagine the Mets beating the O's..He'd bitch about it every day until he died some 25 years later..
