I graduated from school in 1969. I loved history. But now as I look back I can see my teacher was very liberal.

You are right, but we can also dominate the discussion with Conservative thoughts and realities. At a local Community college, I had a geography class and the geo teacher was throwing in liberal points any chance he got.
But once he started on the anti-capitalism stand when talking about the "unfair Disadvantage" the U.S. had because of our "LUCK" at getting a country on the most balanced weather location on earth (relatively) and that was not "fair" to the rest of the world and look at all the starving.....
I then raised my hand and said that "No, the reason for famine anywhere in the world was for the most part, communism and/or dictatorships."
He started to try to refute me and so I asked him to name even ONE country that had a democratic, capitalist government that was suffering from famine.
He couldn't. Point made. He changed subject back to something that fit his liberal mind thought.

(It was ALL about SCOTUS.. We are DOOMED for several generations. . Who cares? Dem's did and voted!)
