I LOVED G.C. Scott. One of those actors that you cannot take your eyes off of.

The G.C. Scott version is my favorite. I also liked the Alistair Simm (?) version, and the newer animated version w/ Jim Carrey isn’t too bad.

A Christmas Carol (1984) with George C. ScottScott is one of my all time favorite actors.
But NO ONE was better as Scrooge than Alastair Sim ...

The best version. Great supporting cast of British character actors including as someone mentioned Ed Woodward plus David Warner, Susannah York, and Roger Rees.

This is one of the few movies that I remember where David Warner plays a gentle, likeable person.

my favorite Christmas Carol version. And I also like Roger Rees as the nephew to Uncle Scrooge.
