In all seriousness.

I’m an XP fan, it doesn’t crash.

I’ve got a laptop with Vista that won’t run more than twenty minutes without crashing.

If anybody has an old box with an XP “product key” I would be very very happy if you sent it to me.

Seriously though, I have a Windows 7 product key and disc and I am saving that.

I use Ubuntu Linux right now on this old thing.

Get Windows 7. You won’t regret it. It’s rock solid. Vista is 7’s “challenged” older sibling.

I agree, but since MS is end-of-life'ing XP, at some point it will become dangerous to use the web, since MS will not be issuing any patches for it, should an exploit be found.

I think if you look a bit more you can find an old one with a decent search engine. My case, I just bought an inexpensive second machine since I needed a spare anyway with the OS included and did it that way. Had to drop down to XP Home instead of XP pro, but got a working version out of it.
