I’ve been following Smarter Every Day Minute Physics and Veritasium on YouTube for a while now. I suggest everyone give Smarter Every Day a go first because they often use lots of weapons for physics experiments. The Veritasium guy is a liberal, but his science videos are excellent.

Being able to calculate the failure front velocity of a Prince Rupert's drop is a pretty big deal. For years this was a scientific mystery. Indeed. I have been lying awake at nights, wondering about that failure front velocity. Even though I have never heard of a Prince Rupert's drop until this minute, I wondered.
Now to watch the video and learn, at last, what a Prince Rupert's drop is.
