Surprised to learn they celebrate Christmas in China.
Commercial Christmas, not the birth of Christ, is a popular celebration in many parts of Asia. They even have a “holiday” shopping season for the retailers.
They don’t. It’s just a gift-giving day.
Not sure about China, but they do have Christmas in Japan.
Well a version of it anyway since it has been separated from any religious meaning while keeping everything else. Sort of what the left would like to do here.
As it happens Japan has a national holiday on December 23rd and Christmas sort of just got attached to it. They have trees and gifts and shopping...
