First lady Michelle Obama had all eyes on her Sunday during the Kennedy Center Honors where the achievements of singer Billy Joel, actress Shirley MacLaine and others were acknowledged.
The first lady manages to look absolutely stunning in pieces by J. Crew, so it was no surprise that she looked flawless in a flowing emerald green Marchesa gown.
While the bodice of the dress is similar to gowns she has worn in the past, the intricate draping details on her arms gave it an elegant flair. The arm drape also showed off the first ladys exceptionally toned biceps as she held hands with President Barack Obama.
The first lady kept the accessories to a minimum, which was a wise fashion choice considering the dress was a stand-out all on its own.
As for her hair, the first lady sported large face-framing curls and allowed her simple neckwear to shine.

I don’t particularly care how she looked, either.
I am just tired of reading about how with all that’s going on, they traipsed off to another useless gala to rub shoulders with entertainer-celebrities.
You would think they have better things to do.

ugh ... I am so sick of hearing about her toned biceps!! I could have toned biceps too, if I had a personal trainer and staff to do everything for me.
The way those drapes lay, it looks incredibly awkward and limiting — if you raise your arm to wave does all that chiffon slap you in your face?? Probably cost 10 K too.

Intricate draping? It looks like they had leftover material and didn't know what to do with it so they made straps that slid down her arms.
That is not attractive.

DJ, if'n your old lady got guns like a linebacker, it is altogether like OK if you artfully drape a bit of the tarp over them.
Besides which, the designer done a damn good job of disguising Moose-shell's caboose, and finally, she managed to look at least a bit more feminine than Reggie's Boyfriend.
Credit where the credit is due and you are off the FR fashion beat.
