An Iraq veteran who thought he was buying an iPad as a Christmas present after responding to a Craigslist posting, has been shot dead in an Indianapolis parking lot by the fake sellers. New-dad Jim Vester, 32, was lured to an address on Wednesday in the west side of the city and brothers Tyron Kincade, 19, and Tyshaune Kincade, 18, have been arrested after Vester was shot dead leaving behind his one-year-old son, Gavin and wife, Jamie. In the wake of the senseless murder, nearly 1,500 people have donated $58,000 to a YouCaring.com fundraiser set up by Vester's family for the man described as a 'great cook, loving father and faithful man.' 'He would drop everything and cross town to help you and your family,' friend Master Sgt. Jerry Wurm said.

I think all lives are of value.
I’m sure that they were right on the brink of turning their lives around.
>> Why is the fact that hes a veteran relevant to the story?
Because veterans are not irrelevant... well, at least to some of us.
Douse them with gasoline, toss a match. No loss to the world. They deprived a baby of its father, a wife of her husband, and the world of a nice guy. They will doubtless accomplish nothing worth continuing their disgusting lives for, except burdening us with their fatherless spawn.
It should be Tryon, not Tyron according to other reports.
Guess Mom got confused going for Tyrone.
.
Too many misspellings, very difficult to read.
That makes no sense. Are you saying he die because he’s a veteran? Did being a veteran make him more susceptible to this scam?
No citizen is irrelevant. I don’t what you mean.
Good for you.
So according to your theoryall news stories should just say man shot, man knifed, woman drowns etc., right? Names don’t matter, achievements don’t matter, circumstances don’t matter.
If someone shoots Ronald Reagan, and the same day a drug dealer in Chicago shoots another drug dealer, they should both merit the same coverage, right?
In fact neither story should even need to mention a name or job or circumstance, because everything is equal. If Lincoln is killed it is of no more importance than John Wilkes Booth being killed, correct?
You might want to consider that while all lives, or at least souls, matter greatly, there are some earthly lives being lived in such a way that more consequence and value attach to them.
Those are spammers. They can only respond to your ad, but if you respond then they have your email address. I only respond to people who mention specifically what you are selling, and at least include a name if not a phone number. If you don’t get any legitimate responses either you are asking too much, or selling something nobody wants.
Let me understand you. If a crime is committed against a veteran should the penalties be more harsh?
That’s a good question. What do you think?
No.
I think that I agree with you. While I cherish those who have defended our country, I do not support hate crime legislation. We should all be equal under the law.
I don’t know if you can understand.
Apparently you can’t read.
Did I mention punishment ANYWHERE in my post?
I cherish them too. Combat veterans who survive should be set for life by taxpayers. I know some combat veterans who have been treated despicably and it makes me wonder about our country.
People are over thinking this. A man was murdered. It had nothing to do with is veteran status. That’s all I’m saying.
I think I understand. I believe that we agree. Thanks, DmanA.
I’m glad we agree. I’ll go even farther. I’m not talking about guys how spend their careers filling out forms in an office ( which is 90% of the military), I mean people who strap on a gun and go in to hostile territory.
Those guys should should be given a pension generous enough so they can work or not. And a medical plan that covers everything. That’s what they deserve, that’s what they should get.
Meet in a very public place in a nice area. If they aren’t interested in those conditions, they will decide not to meet.
Yikes.
I’m not sure what bothers me more, that these two are killers, or that so many people on the first FB page are posting how Tyshaune needs to be freed.
Fried, yes. Freed, no.
Not on a bet would I do this.
