wonderful!
(But there are over 20 million people in Southern California, you’d think a few hundred of them would take care of some nice woofs? Or is there perhaps something more to this story?)
I am sure a lot of people there are adopting dogs, but probably there are also many who abandon them. It’s great that they are finding locations where more people are willing to adopt.
I live in the People's Republic of So. Cal. It is just very expensive to live here. Many people can't afford to have a pet.
Even if you have the money for a pet, but you're a renter, good luck finding a place that will rent to you.
It would be nice if the Pet Rescue places would do something to encourage places to rent to people with pets. People would be able adopt more animals in that case.
I found an apartment that takes pets, but I have to pay an extra $25 a month in rent for it. It gets pricey.
At least these animals in the article will get new homes in more pet friendly states.
Wings of Rescue is a registered non profit 501c3 animal rescue organization based out of Van Nuys, CA.
They provide desperately needed air transport for our rescue partners and the thousands of animals they save each year from high kill shelters in California. We fly them in private airplanes to their new forever homes and rescue organizations up and down the west coast, Idaho and sometimes into Canada.
