Yes. USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn. Auburn was left out of the National Championship Game.

That wasn’t the only time. Back in 1983, Auburn went into the bowl games ranked #3. On New Year’s Day, #3 Auburn wins the Sugar Bowl while #1 Nebraska, #2 Texas, and #4 Illinois all lose. In the final poll, Auburn was still ranked #3. They were robbed BIGTIME.
