The Weather Channel names winter storms similar to hurricanes so they can hype them.
I troll undercover on forums where impressionable youts hang out. You see comments like “they had to start naming these winter storms because they are so much worse than the old days” Exactly my thoughts when I saw TWC doing that: to make people think it's worse than it ever was, and it's all man's fault. LOL...

NBC bought WC in 2008 to be able to use it as a propaganda outlet under the guise of “factual” reporting.
WC even has news segments from MSNBC now.
