You could have done worse than OK; Bismark, ND, had -40°F just a few days ago when the blizzards came thru. I remember temps in the Midwest, upper NY state and now back in PA, of -20°F, but you'll survive your 5°F misery. Bundle-up! and leave the water faucets dripping.

When I lived in Houston, those were interesting number. I’d think, “Gosh that sounds cold.” Now it’s more like whiskey tango foxtrot.

The coldest I’ve been in was -38F and a few other times at -30. Funny thing is that once you get to -5, it doesn’t seem that much colder at -30.
