BIRMINGHAM, Ala. A woman charged with killing a fellow Alabama fan after the end of last weekend's Iron Bowl football game was angry that the victim and others didn't seem upset over the Crimson Tide's loss to archrival Auburn, said the sister of the slain woman.
Adrian Laroze Briskey, 28, was charged Monday with murder in the killing of 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd

so instead of killing trees, she killed her sister..
DAMN! If I looked like that I would be angry too. But over a football game?
She didn’t kill her sister. They had just met at the football watching party.
good point, the story I read yesterday stated it was her sister.. Anyways, she killed some random woman instead of some random trees over a flipping football game..
After spending a few weeks in Birmingham recently, I am not surprised. There is an element of that population that is very unhappy.
Yep
Life and death in the SEC...
Good thing she wasn’t around in the Ears Whitworth era.
Could have been multiple fatalities.
This incident and the jerk that poisoned the trees at Auburn are an example of how out of hand it is.
The pressure on these players (kids, actually) is too much. They're asked to perform to perfection at all times. Ridiculed if they don't.
Hell, the Bama field goal kicker is receiving death threats for crying out loud. Insane.
i’m psychic.....
War danged buzzard!
She’s 28? I’d be guessing twenty years older than that.
Guilty.
The bread and circus crowd. Plenty of them in SEC land and in Pennsyltucky, though they generally won’t resort to murder. These losers who act as if the outcome of a college football game is of any importance need to reexamine their lives.
Oh the tragedy of Crimson on Crimson crime.
Pennsyltucky?
That is a derogatory term which was devised by a leftist to describe the red part of PA, when in fact almost no crime or murders take place there, instead taking place in the blue corners of Philly and Pittsburgh.

Red, you could not be more wrong about the derivation of that term.
We used it in Ohio in the late 70s. Cleveburg, Pittsland, all of ‘em.
It was used to describe the state or city of a sports rival.
The modern use came from James Carville:
The modern popularization of the term, however, is commonly associated with Democratic political consultant James Carville, famed for his work on the victorious campaigns of Robert Casey, Sr. of Pennsylvania in 1986 and Presidential candidate Bill Clinton in 1992.[8][9] Carville’s original statement, however, did not speak of “Pennsyltucky”. In 1992 he said:
Between Paoli and Penn Hills, Pennsylvania is Alabama without the blacks. They didn’t film The Deer Hunter there for nothing — the state has the second-highest concentration of NRA members, behind Texas.[10][11]
This quote is often paraphrased as “Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Alabama in the middle.”
