in 1973 I went 122 in a 68 Firebird. The engine had plenty more but the steering and the suspension did not.
also, I wanted to live longer.

I had a 68 Firebird.
One brother had a a Corvette.
Another brother had an SS 396.
The Glory Days of Muscle cars, man oh man.

I know what you mean. It’s a shame those cars had way more power than what they were designed to handle.

'67 Mustang up to 115 (Hwy 163, NorCal) around '80.

I had the exact same experience. The body of the car started to feel like it was floating above the suspension. Not a happy feeling.
