I am the Original poster of the comment about the gun powder on DMN.
CONFIRMED it was from the explosion. I am north-east of there. Around the middle of CR 409. We have large property, all within 2 miles of there. The wind was blowing at 7mph North-east. We smelt it and saw all of the smoke around 6 minutes after. It was UNDOUBTEDLY a gun powder smell. Nothing else. We got on our house right after and saw the explosion area, but no fire.

There’s no way it was a gas explosion, or it would not have smelt like STRONG gun powder.

Agree, a gas explosion should not smell like nitrates and gun powder. Theory?
