Sold to Siemens (Germany) in the mid-90’s. One small division is left American-Owned because the Navy did not want its high-enrichment reactor technology and secrets owned by a German company.

But GE and General Motors both made more money from their finance divisions and loan er-investments GMAC for example - than from their manufacturing sides.
