Wow. I had a ct scan on my head this year and have structural problems with sinuses and ears which has caused chronic problems. I had no idea it could cause ADD like symptoms. That would explain so much! A steroid nasal spray has helped me more than anything thus far, it even seems to help my ears.

The older now retired General Practitioners knew about it more than doctors today. Look up Vestibular +Anxiety and you'll find out anxiety and Cognitive issues are a symptom of Vestibular Disorders. In some cases it is almost impossible to detect and doctors must rely on Patient History going all the way back to toddler asking did you have chronic ear infections, sinus allergies, etc. The damage gets done early on. The damage often can not be fixed.

Certain sounds in your case may become a serious issue for you to deal with. Sounds may seem exaggerated and certain frequencies more so. A word of advice. Avoid antidepressants if possible and focus on benzoipines {sp} like Xanax, Valium, etc if the anxiety hits. You have to tone down the sensory system.

I want to warn you about another possibility for your own sanity in case it hits you. If you start having panic/anxiety attacks with this it may come out of the blue. The onset can be in the form of what I call the Brain Fog which IMO is the worse type of attack. You are driving somewhere and loose all sense of where you are, why, how you got there, where you were going, etc. Generally this last less than an hour but can last as long as two days. You are not going to die LOL. Pull over, get some coffee or just relax for a while.

In some other cases it can effect your Central Nervous System in another way which can also be misdiagnosed. You may start having a bad Startle Reaction resulting in spasming in your upper torso. These are actually called Myoclonic Seizures. They can be as frequent as several a minute or as few as rare. I have those type of seizures and the Onset hit me when I was in my mid 30's. The Brain Fog hit first though.

Here is an interesting article for you. It's kinda old but has some great insight. Cognitive Aspects Of Vestibular Disorders This article deals with some of the issues. If a person reads it they can see how easy it would be for doctors to misdiagnoses it for ADD ADHD.
