On Nov. 5, the Times Free Press published a front-page story about the arrests of 32 men charged with gun and drug crimes after a four-year local and federal investigation. Chattanooga Police Chief Bobby Dodd called the suspects the "worst of the worst" in Chattanooga's criminals.
We heard no reaction from readers. Not a peep.
On Nov. 17, the newspaper published a second front-page story about the suspects and their criminal histories. This time, we were barraged with feedback. Some of the words used to describe the report: irresponsible, distasteful, racist.
The difference? The second story included the mugshots of all 32 suspects. And the photos highlighted something: All 32 suspects are black men.

I actually bought that paper and still have it. I looked at when I laid it on the counter and thought o boy. Here comes the race card.

It is long past time for people to put on their big-boy pants and not knuckle under to cries of Racist! in situations like this.
No, the worst decision goes back about 400 years but otherwise I guess the truth hurts. These whiners would rather place their fellow citizens in danger. They want to play pretend and think they we are bad for wanting to protect ourselves from thugs.

I think it's more racist to try to cover up for them because they are black because then you are using race as an issue to protect someone who doesn't need protecting. Quite the opposite...
If Blacks and Black leaders would take responsibility for their actions...instead of looking for White folks to lynch....

Basically welfare is protection money to quell inner-city riots. Bet many don't know that. Just issue a certain segment of our society monthly checks and provide them with housing (HUD) and they stop being a "problem" for certain politicians.
Of course, this creates a situation where our inner city men are emasculated. They are no longer relied upon to be breadwinners and providers. Their women can sit at home and crank out all the little babies they want and sit around the house waiting for the government checks to arrive.
They don't need the men around no more!
Just think about what this does to the men of the inner city. They grow up, typically in a single mother household in some crappy government-subsidized apartment. If they are lucky, they actually know who their father is (but sadly, in many cases, they are better off not knowing because he's probably in prison or dead).
Think about the hopelessness that surrounds these young men. Is it any wonder they turn to drugs and crime; listen to loud, angry music; develop violent tendencies and hatred for those who they perceive to have had a better hand dealt to them in life (example, kids in the suburbs).
This is what the liberals have wrought with the welfare state.
A man needs to be looked up to as a role model, a provider, a husband and father. There is no better feeling in the world for a man than to see his earnings result in a nice home for his family and a decent quality of life. The men of the inner city have by and large been robbed of this privilege. Their manly roles have been replaced by a bureaucratic government that guarantees their women cradle to grave welfare - made possible of course by more affluent taxpayers - and so for the men of the inner city - they are just...not...needed.
Meanwhile, the politicians just go on kicking the can down the street. So long as no riots or unrest occurs on their watch, they continue to support the growing racist welfare state. And yes, it is a RACIST welfare state. Rather than improving the lives of our black citizens, it merely serves to keep them down and thus equality of the races and race relations has actually moved backwards instead of forwards.
Nobody wants to talk about tearing down the welfare state out of fear of being called a racist. But in my opinion, it is the opposite. The people supporting this welfare state are the real racists.
The welfare racket can only keep growing for so long. Eventually, and probably soon, we are going to run out of taxpayer money to fund it. Then they day of reckoning will be upon us.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but it’s not because they’re Democratically-run cities...it’s the amount of the black underclass. There’s plenty of Dem-run cities in the country like Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, and some others that operate well and have very low levels of crime. They also have very small black populations. Even so, the black populations in those cities commit an outsize amount of crime.
Indeed — the racists at the Times Free Press outed themselves big time.
