" LLDF believes it has found a reason why authorities in Tuscaloosa, Alabama won't prosecute a theft from a pro-life prayer warrior.

Life Legal Defense Foundation attorney Dana Cody tells OneNewsNow the pro-life sign Paul Lake positions near an abortion clinic in the city was stolen, and they know who the culprits are......

"A clinic nurse and an assistant just pulled up, [put the] sign in the car [and[ drove off ... to their clinic. And when it was reported to the police, he signed a complaint," Cody reports.

Even though there was a witness to the thievery, after going through various channels, Lake was eventually told the case would not be prosecuted because the sign was taken from city-owned property.

"Interestingly enough, we found out that the city attorney, his name is Christopher England, happens to be friends with the clinic director, Gloria Gray," the LLDF attorney adds. She calls that a "strange coincidence" and wonders,"What if it had been the clinic nurse and her assistant sitting on the sidewalk as clinic escorts and a pro-life person had walked up and taken their sign?"

Cody suggests the thief in that case would have been prosecuted, so she is urging Tuscaloosa pro-lifers to ask the city attorney for the truth about why the theft is not being prosecuted when the evidence is plain...."

Not enough information here. Most cities do prohibit posting of signs on city right of way; if one puts up signs on property of others without permission, that is the person breaking the law, not the person who removes it.

So if someone wants to post the relevant city ordinance, if any, we could have a basis for discussion.

“the sign was taken from city-owned property”

MEN, THAT is why YOU need to be out there.

YOU need to be the visible security, to discourage the intimidation of those Praying and Presenting a POSITIVE Message!

The ugly signs and chants of damnation are NOT effective in changing the mind of the reluctant mother.

"When Mr. Lake went to the appropriate office to sign the warrant, the warrant clerk, told Mr. Lake that he could not sign the warrant. The explanation was that, according to the city’s legal team, the banner was on the city’s right of way and thus “it was not illegal for someone to take it.” Mr. Lake was puzzled by this response and followed up with a representative from the City Attorney’s office. Following this conversation, the warrant supervisor stated that “she denied the warrant request because, in her opinion, there was no basis for criminal intent.” LLDF’s Senior Staff Counsel, Allison Aranda, wrote a letter to the appropriate authorities in which she pointed out the fallacies of the claim that there was no basis for criminal intent and demanded that a warrant for the arrest of the perpetrators be issued. She further demanded a proper and full investigation into the matter because of evidence of potential bias. Evidence showed that the City Attorney, Christ England, is personal friends with Gloria Gray, the director of the Tuscaloosa abortion clinic. According to Ms. Aranda, “It appears as though Mr. England is attempting to protect his friends from criminal prosecution and thwarting justice for crime victim, Paul Lake.”

I'm guessing in the same way political signs on city right of way are protected these are too
