Writer: Moms Who Birth Disabled Babies are “Insentient Incubators” Who “Give Birth to a Corpse”

Know anyone who has given birth to a baby with severe disabilities? Parents of such children already face tremendous pressure from doctors, friends and family, and society to have an abortion when confronted with a possible diagnosis of an unborn children with terrible medical problems.

Many parents, and courageous mothers, give birth to such children. Sometimes the diagnosis turns out to be completely mistaken and beautiful healthy children are born who otherwise would have been victimized by abortion. On other occasions, mothers give birth to babies who may not survive long — but who unconditionally love them nonetheless.

Now, these brave parents and moms are facing a disgusting attack in the form of a column from Irish Independent columnist Colette Browne.

Browne, who is so wrapped up in her own bid to push abortion on a European country that has solid pro-life values, throws all sense of decency out the window with how she describes such parents who give life to children she and others deem worthless. Complaining about Ireland pro-life laws that prohibit abortions on babies simply because they are imperfect, she writes:

Even then, the State reduces women to the status of insentient incubator and compels them to proceed with the pregnancy until they give birth to a corpse.

Browne, in a mandate to have these children aborted, promotes the effort by abortion activists to go to the United Nations to force Ireland to overturn it’s pro-life laws.

Now, added to the roll call of brave Irish women who have used their personal trauma as the impetus to attack our archaic abortion laws, are three new names: Amanda Mellet, Ruth Bowie and Siobhan Murphy.

They are members of the Terminations for Medical Reasons (TFMR) group who were forced to travel abroad to end unviable pregnancies and intend to hold the State accountable for its cruelty before the United Nations Human Rights Committee.

There, it will be argued that the Irish State has breached the human rights of these women and blithely subjected them to cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.

LifeNews columnist and ProLife Campaign spokeswoman Cora Sherlock, who has written about the effort to undermine Ireland’s pro-life laws at the UN, didn’t waste any time letting Brown know how she felt about the horrible characterization of such moms.

I wonder what Ms. Browne thinks about Stephen Hawking? I bet she doesn’t even know who he is.
