I do use and like the dishwasher pods, even though I haven’t used the dishwasher unless company is here since I embarked on the natural-back-to-basics journey a couple years ago. Nothing about any of those pods suggest candy/food of any kind to me-just the detergent smell says otherwise, and would even to my inner kid...

A+++
Excellent! Actually, I thought someone would go there long before the 58th post, but you were the first.

what about mothballs?

I could never understand how they get them. How do they hold the moth's legs apart?

I remember those Salvo tablets-they looked like some bath salts tablets my mom had in a jar in the bathroom, except they were a little bigger and were not pink and blue...

I can’t abide the odor of naphtha mothballs-they stink-but I do use the para ones which do not smell so bad-I can’t see anyone getting past that smell to eat them, though-hell, I use them to keep deer and other critters from eating my garden.

That is the piece the spouse will be working on all week. Ooo-ooo. I’m already tired of it!

When I was a kid, I’d visit my grandparents, and everything they had on their shelves was in brown bottles. Drain cleaner, prescriptions, coffee syrup, etc. It all came in brown bottles. How the heck did my moms generation ever survive!

A few years back (Ok, about 30ish I guess) there was a new dishwasher soap in a bright yellow bottle called Sunlight. Of course there were urban legends abut people getting sick from using it in their tea, etc.

I recall mothballs used to come in milk carton type packages. I wonder how many people fed their babies moth balls instead of milk?

I remember the old 30 mule team borax ads. I’m surprised the stuff isn’t outlawed now, it has many uses from the Anarchists Cookbook, of the basic science we learned in boy scouts or hanging out with older kids in the neighborhood.

There is still a brand of mothballs that comes in those milk carton like containers-I’ve never checked the brand, but they are sold at the supermarket about 20 miles from here.

Yes, everyone here does, to some degree. Youngest had to learn how to change out a broken string on the violin yesterday at her lesson, because she didn’t trust me using Youtube to do it myself.

I give you and A++++.

I have kept an eye on Martinez and long wanted to support her but she is weak on amnesty, wrong on Obamacare and DEAD wrong on abortion.

You know, they rise to office as conservatives and then they spit on us from the heights.

Thanks for your reminder.

p.s.

Q. Where does I board d’aeroplane?

A. Why at d’aerogate, stoopit!

LOL Derogate.

Though strictly speaking I think it might be “the North KoLean Derogate”.

With this we can derogate several things at once:

I would say since Obama...but...

18$ 77 loads.

By contrast, Cheer is about 8$ for 64 loads, so if you use that for color sensitive garments, and a 5 dollar bottle of Extra for 116 loads of whites, and non sensitive color clothes, you’ve spent 13$ for 103 more loads of laundry, less trips to the store and saved 26 bucks.

Detergent is one of this that irks me when I get sent to the store, I used to work in a primary supplier Chemical Factory where we made the component items for stuff like that and perfumes as well.

They all use the same base ingredients,the difference is marketing.
