I was just under 8 months old. Probably slept through most of it. Hubby remembers it. They sent all the kids home from school.
3rd grade, nuns crying. I watched Oswald shot live on the black and white TV.
I looked at my parents who were watching and said ‘’They Killed Him! ‘’
I was in 3rd grade and we were playing outside during recess when they rang the bell early, called us into class, told us the President had been shot, and sent us all home immediately that day. To this day the drumbeat that played as JFK’s casket was carried by horsedrawn carriage down the Avenue, haunts me. Bum, bum, bum, brrrrr, bum bum, bum, brrrr, bum, bum, bum, brrrr, bum, bum, ba-bum.
It was nap time in kindergarten and the nuns rolled in the tv.
I was in 4th grade in Vallejo, CA. The teacher from the room next door came crying into our classroom. I was a nixon man then and was not particularly moved.

Are We going to see You in one of those Hoveround commercials soon?
;)
Not all that far from mine.
I was upside-down, in front of the television, about two weeks from download.
I was in playpen (They kept Me locked up a lot- I was always in trouble) in front of TV when Mom lost it big time.
Years later I saw the shooting replay and put 2 and 2 together.
I was just over 2 years old when it happened.
/twilight zone
I was too young to remember what I was doing. Maybe I was having a nap.
Sitting in my 5th grade classroom. Our school waited until the end of the school day to announce his death.
Beamed out by a UFO from Bermuda Triangle?
I was in the fifth grade, and a weeping teacher gathered us together from the playground to tell us the bad news, and then we went home early. ...I was home watching TV when Oswald got shot. My grandmother and I sat there watching the news rerun it.
10th grade - Lamesa, TX - in a car with buddies during lunch - the news came over the radio and several kids said ‘’Good.’’
I was on a destroyer off the coast of Cuba.
I was a college freshman. Friday afternoons I had no classes so I was in my dorm room studying when a friend came into the room to tell me. Then I joined the rest of the girls in the lounge to watch tv coverage.
That was enough to make us recoil. We were trying to imagine why Dallas P.D. would parade the assassin around for the cameras. You think after the President of the United States was shot to death, the security around the assassin would have been like Fort Knox. Our first thought was it total setup and intentional hit.
In my play pen napping while Mom was ironing and watching her soaps.
I was a freshman in high school. We were standing at dismissal listening to the announcements. I was joking around with my buddy Tom when the principal gave us the news. It hit all of us like a club. By the time students were filing out, all of the girls and a few of the boys were openly crying.
