I was thinking the “before” life — though, I thought of it after you, but since you’re now reading this, I guess I may not be incorrect after all...

IMMORTALITY

Our contention - is not that dead men live again - but that living man never dies. A consciousness of continuity is finite - but continuity itself is infinite.
Resurrection is the Power of Life - always present - ever creative -ever new. Life and Its resurrection is now. I turn to Life in reverence - hope - and joy.
And this is the record - that God hath given to us eternal life - and this life is in his Son.

I believe you are correct and he may very well have chosen the latter if he had the knowledge available to us. I wonder at times how we will be viewed in a historical context.
