A 37-year old man from Cumbria died from unexplained causes after allegedly opening a box in his bedroom that was mysteriously labeled “Pandora’s Box”, reports the Huff Post.
The term refers to a legend from Greek mythology in which Pandora received a container said to hold all of the world’s sorrows, troubles and evils, with a mandate to open it at her own risk. Police officials say they are stumped as to why Jason Airey’s heart failed after he opened a container that held synthetic cannabis.
Airey was found unconscious in his bedroom and rushed to a nearby hospital. But doctors there say he never regained consciousness and expired within 48 hours of his arrival in the emergency room.
Airey’s dad indicated that his son exhibited no unusual symptoms just prior to his unexpected death and confirmed that he believed his son had opened the strangely labeled box just before experiencing heart failure.

Things that make you go Hmmm. Where was that blasted box from? Is there anyone else’s DNA on it? There could be some residue on it after someone used it to store illicit drugs. There could have been some form of ricin on it, which leaves few clues. The former Soviets used Polonium 210 a lot, a radioactive element that must be breathed in or otherwise introduced to the interior of the body.
“Synthetic cannabis” wouldn’t show up as cannabis in his system, because they are totally unrelated chemically.
Possibly, it’s a designer drug too, that comes in different varieties, depending on who is manufacturing it. They just spray it on to “smoking herbs” to make it look like something similar to marijuana.
I figured it contained a copy of the Affordable Car Act. Hell, that thing is radioactive!
My local OR did an emergency craniotomy on a 23 year old woman who smoked, “spice” leading to a severe brain hemorrhage. She died within 48 hours in spite of best efforts. It’s happening all over the country. At least real marijuana does not explode peoples brains
