Fiorentino was frightening in that flick. Got a lot of scars...
We seem to like a lot of the same quirky movies.

But it’s weird because the spouse and I liked the same kind of music and movies before we met, and a lot of my friends did not share the same faves. I think just mentioning Monty Python in a group tells you what is up.

I was wondering how the kid could quartet all alone, then I re-read what you wrote - “all of us play this one together” - class act you got going on there, SG - nice!

We were watching Uncle Buck on HBO Comedy the other night.

My daughter was “Why are we watching this?”

“Cause it’s a classic.”

Her brother and I can do guitar and piano, she does violin and piano. Her dad plays guitar. We got a uke last month and everyone is tinkering around with it. Thankfully no drums!

I quiz them in the car about songs on the radio. It’s my job to work on their music backgrounds. One of them has a physics teacher who plays name that tune for extra points every day. She missed Bad Moon Rising this week. And she said the only Eagles songs she knew were Hotel California and Already Gone. Gasp! We got to work on that right away!

I like “Lyin’ Eyes” and “Victim of Love.” The latter for the heavy riff and the former for the storytelling.

I also think “City girls just seem to find out early how to open doors with just a smile” is a great opening lyric.

Absolutely. Especially following “Pretty Maids All in a Row,” one of Joe Walsh’s best. Lovely song. Joe has heart. (And a sense of humor.)

I love that Joe covered the whole gamut with “Life’s Been Good” to “Ordinary Average Guy” (with its bowling solo)

LMAO.

“I got a cure for that,”

Was one of my retorts before that flick was even made.

She likes the line, “ thats a really bad idea during cold and flu season”

And, I sh!t you not, back in the day, I had a supervisor that looked like Pal, and Ironically called everyone pal.

In the shop I was in, we had a chart of dog breeds.

A guy had a couple of Bull Mastiffs.

So one night late he’s looking at the chart and says...

Yeah, that’s the kind of dogs he’s got. Bullmastiffs. (One word, A as, in i took a train)

I PIMP whenever I see the bowling alley scene,

I swear they knew this guy.

I like the part with the principal “Here’s a quarter, go downtown and get a rat to gnaw that thing off of your face.”

That and “not to kill you, no. To maim. “

I do. Very early 80s.

It was probably the most egregious example of a product being destroyed by being a homonym for a newly discovered deadly disease.

An admittedley small category.

Spent yesterday perfecting work strategery and stuff, so better late than never-

The Greeks made sacrifices
Of costly goods they’d bring
To altars of chthonic gods-
But they didn’t learn anything

Three thousand years and more
Some bowed to the newest beast
And handed over fees and taxes
For the Obamacare website feast

Now that their idol is disgraced
And his syncophants under attack
He’s looking for the magic bottle
Trying to get that genie back...
