18 degrees here in southern Michigan this morning. That’s nearly 20 degrees cooler than the average for this time of year.

What’s your record low for this time?

We’ve been running warm for 2-3 years a couple hundred miles south of you.

Have an ice fisherman friend who is excited as can be. Hasn’t been enough ice here for a couple of years now.

Well, it’s not 18 just north of Houston but I have lived here since 1985 and this is the earliest I have ever turned the heat on. I would expect it to be cold in Michigan in the winter but our thermometer registered in the low 30’s this morning - really cold for our part of the country.

And no, you don’t have to say “poor baby”!!! LOL

18 degrees here in southern Michigan this morning.

Someone reported that same temp in a shaded area of Sweetwater Texas this morning. We were in the 20's in West Central Texas. Usually that occurs in Jan and Feb, not before Turkey day.

Yes, it is WAY colder than “normal,” but the dropping of leaves and changing of colors is two weeks behind schedule. It has been warmer than normal some days...my lilac brush has been getting ready to leaf out.

The “weather person” has been wrong on most extended predictions here for the past two months.
