One day in a college class I was talking about my mother joining me on a cruise to Alaska. My mother has a heart condition. One of my classmates thought that the cruise would be dangerous for her due to the altitude since we were going so far up North. I calmly pointed out that she would barely be above sea level. She still argued about the high altitude. I tried to interject latitude and longitude into the conversation...she didn’t even know what those were. sigh.
