Word For The Day, November 12, 2013
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Winter has arrived. 2 inches of snow overnight. Not sticking to the roads.
i feel ready but we aren’t getting any.
I get pococurante when people in Minnesota complain about their winters. What part of the whining is reasonable when this stuff is to be expected?
Word.
You’ll get yours eventually.
Story of my life.
I suppose it beats talking about the Vikings.
Obama, imperious pococurante
Lies ‘til his nose looks just like Durante
His Obamacare’s swell
Like the circles of hell
Instead of Sebelius, let’s check with Dante
don’t believe it for a second ; )
excellent!
Our pococurante President is still sticking it to the American people and the Constitution with the announcement yesterday that he is “remaking” the courts.
Yesterday’s fine snow is still sticking to the ground in southeast Wisconsin. The grass is poking through, although it is nothing to be alarmed about. Nobody’s complaining, or whining, as you accuse Minnesotans. If it continues to stick, the hunters will like it. Deer season opens in 2 weeks in Wisconsin, and snow makes it easer to track them.
My husband leaves Sunday for Missouri to get a headstart on deer season where he hunts on a private preserve. He doesn’t hunt Wisconsin on public land anymore after 6 hunters were murdered by that crazy Hmong fellow from Minnesota.
I will have a hunter in my back yard, however. We give permission for a trusted man to hunt our land every year. He gets 3 adjoining landowners to sign off, and nobody else can come in here. He sent me trail cam pictures the other day of 2 huge bucks out by my old apple tree in the thicket. The pictures surprised me because I rarely see an antlered deer. Only the fawns and does allow themselves to be observed.
that sounds lovely. we have deer and we live in a fairly close-in suburban neighborhood.
I saw a gorgeous buck out last week with a doe nearby. It’s snowing here right now but nothing is supposed to stick. Treadmill day.
I was afraid that link was going to take me to a Crosby, Stills and Nash song. LOL
Anyone notice that today is 11/12/13?
I don’t think it is limited to conservatives but to the age of kids and how most of them evolve to conservatism once they start getting paychecks and realizing how it works.
i heard that thousands are getting married today in order to have the date 11/12/13. Not worth it to get married on a tues IMO
I live in a “city”, but traditionally it has been zoned for 5 acre and larger lots. On my side of town, there are still working farms, as well as horse farms and stables. My house is on 12 acres, with 5 acres next door and about 30 acres behind me.
Many people ask to hunt here, but we trust this one man. He knows the difference between a deer and my neighbor’s horses. And knew the differnce between geese and my peacocks, when I had them.
Shotguns with a low velocity slug are allowed with permission during the 10 day deer season by our city. Bow hunting is allowed at any time during bow season, which precedes gun season, and resumes afterward. My hunter uses both and sets up wildlife cams along the various trails. He’s caught me on my lawn mower!
